Music Mega Star 2009
Music Mega Star is at it again, providing an opportunity for amateur artists from all across the nation to showcase their
talent to the biggest music industry scouts in the business.  Last year was the first annual Music Mega Star talent search
held in New York at The Music Factory Recording Studio owned by hit-making music producer Ty Fyffe. Close to 2000
artists from every state in the country came out in hopes of becoming the next big music STAR! It was a real live American
Idol. Every major record label sent one of their top A&R Executives out to judge the event in hopes of finding their next big
hit. This year’s event will be held on Saturday, November 29th and Sunday, November 30th and will be much more
exclusive.  Only 200 spaces are available. You must register in advance.

AllHipHop.com, Vitamin Water, and Herr’s Potato Chips are this year’s official sponsors. Last year BET covered the event
with a five-part series on who made the cut. You can take a look at the footage at www.youtube.com/musicmegastar.  Other
local media outlets were on the scene. The winners of Music Mega Star 2007 were female, hip-hop duo, who goes by the
name Unladylike.  Unladylike traveled 22 hours by car from East St. Louis, Illinois to NYC to participate.  They waited in line
for 15 hours before they stepped into the audition room in front of a panel of record label judges.  Dre McKenzie, an A&R
Exec from G-Unit, was in the room when Unladylike stepped up to the mic at 4:30 in the morning. Dre’s exact words were,
“Oh my God… These girls are incredible!!!” The rest is history.

The music industry has been waiting for something fresh and new.  And with the current void in female Hip- Hop, music
exec, Sita Lewis, signed Unladylike to an exclusive management contract, moved them to NYC and began recording with
hit-maker, Ty Fyffe.  Unladylike is now on their way to becoming the country’s much needed female Hip-Hop sensation.
Sita Lewis is also the Vice President of Voicez Music Group/ Def Jam, Universal, a partnership label owned by her father
Butch Lewis, the legendary boxing promoter.  Once Sita signed Unladylike and helped develop their music, she landed
them an exclusive live music showcase with the legendary music mogul and Def Jam Recordings Chairman, LA Reid along
with his A&R director, Lenny S. Unladylike blew their ears off.  You can take a look at the exclusive showcase by going
online to YouTube and searching “Unladylike Def Jam Showcase”. Unladylike will most certainly be dropping a classic
debut album in 2009!!!

Bad Boy Records, Violator Management, and a host of others will be present at this year’s event.  R
